Why do I believe my brother Andy would make the best Van Zandt County Judge? With 64 years of living, working, and playing with Andy I can vouch for his integrity, character, work ethic, Christian consistency, and business acumen. We grew up, along with our sister Dorie, in a home that had lots of love and discipline. Our dad was a decorated WWII fighter pilot and successful business salesman most of his carreer. Mom was primarily stay at home, but did do modeling for fashion clothing at the Apparrel Mart in Dallas. They instilled in us that strong work ethic with integrity. After Andy attended Texas A&M, majoring in Business Administration, in 1980 I invited him to join our Dallas based Industrial Distribution business in the technology field. He started the day after graduation. True to his capabilities and work ethic, he quickly moved through the company advancing in responsibility and earned the respect of our clients and staff. With his significant contribution in running operations, finance, and IT we grew to multiple locations in a several state area. In 1989, I sold the company to a public company so that we had the additional resources to grow through acquistions. Andy was instrumental in orchestrating the integration of multiple companies we aquired, tripling the size of the company in 2 years. He then joined me at another technology company in Dallas area in manufacturing business. That business was also successfully sold to a public company. Then, in 1999, he joined me after I started Winning Strategies in Van Zandt County a marketing services business that, at its peak, employed up to 220 in Van Zandt and Henderson County. There he remains 22 years later still managing Operations, Finance, HR, and facilities functions. His career and track record are excellent over a 40 year period to be prepared for the role of County Judge who operates like the CEO for the county. He has always been active in church and served Lakeside Baptist in the audio/video ministry and children's Awana program, and taught Sunday School classes. He has the character and demeanor to carry out judicial decisions with impartiality and wise thoughtful evaluation of the facts presented. His involvement for more than 15 years in local Repbulican activities as club member, past club treasurer, precinct chair, election judge, and delegate to county and state Republican Conventions demonstrates his commitment to the Republican Party Platform and growing the party by serving in Van Zandt County. I truly believe Andy will make a great County Judge and invite any questions by call or email. 903-245-2056 or BobReese@BobReese.com — Bob Reese

Andy Reese never waits to be asked, if he sees a need, he quietly jumps right in. Great Christian leader. Andy will make an amazing Godly County Judge. — Teresa Drum
Attorney and retired District Judge

Andy Reese. I’ve known him since he was 14 years old. And yes, he is family to me, my brother-in-law for over 50 years. This means I’ve seen him grow up, seen him live through thick and thin, hard times and good times. Who knows a man’s character better than the people who have walked a lifetime with him.
Andy has been a servant leader in almost every realm God has placed him in. You may not know what he has done, what he does, because he does it quietly, often behind the scenes, not seeking credit or fanfare, not announcing his service, just quietly using his multiple giftings to serve others. Actions speak louder than words; so as a wise man once said, “Character is what you do when you think no one is looking.“
He rose to leadership as commanding officer in the Cavalry at A&M; for decades he was and is the financial and operational backbone in several successful businesses, adding much experience to his Bachelors of Business degree. All the while he quietly serves at church, using his talents as video/audio tech to broadcast and record sermons for distribution. Is help needed to pack food and deliver it to the needy? He is there. To make food runs to restock the Manna pantries? He is there. To collect money for Lions Club for their charities. He is there. To volunteer at Lion’s Camp and serve as a statewide director (a camp designed for special needs children); to serve in multiple positions at Lions Club, including past President and Treasurer. When your parents fall on hard times and need help, whether it’s inviting them to live with you for years, or caring for them until they go to their eternal home, Andy proved to be a bulwark. Again, he was and is there. Not once, not twice, but time and time again. A lifetime of quiet service.
I want my county judge to be reasonable, to be fiscally conservative, to have a lifetime of experience, to care deeply about people and to seek the position not for himself, not for glory, but to truly serve. And honestly, I am more than ever proud to share the family name of Reese with this man because he is exactly what this county needs: a very qualified chief operational and financial leader with the heart of a servant.
